Hawaii State Art Museum

The Hawai’i State Art Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The museum is closed on Sunday, Monday and all state holidays. The museum is open for special events including our annual Live From the Lawn Grammy Nominee Concert, Children & Youth Day in October and most First Fridays of the month from 5pm to 9pm.

State Holidays are on the following dates each year:

New Year’s Day: January 1
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Third Monday in January
President’s Day: Third Monday in February
Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Day: March 26
Good Friday: Friday preceding Easter Sunday
Memorial Day: Last Monday in May
King Kamehameha I Day: June 11
Independence Day: July 4
Statehood Day: Third Friday in August
Labor Day: First Monday in September
General Election Day: First Tuesday in November following the First Monday of even-numbered days
Veteran’s Day: November 11
Thanksgiving: Fourth Thursday in November
Christmas: December 25

ADMISSION
Admission to the Hawai’i State Art Museum is FREE at all times. Donations are always welcome. A donation box is located on the second floor in the Sculpture Lobby. Donations are used to further the museum’s outreach programs.
