The Friends of the Hawai’i State Art Museum was founded in 2002 to help raise funds from the community to support the educational and outreach activities of the museum. Membership levels range from $20.00 for students and seniors to $1000 for benefactors and beyond. The Friends of HiSAM help fund First Friday events, the annual Grammy Nominee Concert, Second Saturday events and many other museum programs. The Friends of HiSAM also help manage the Downtown Restaurant and the HiSAM Gift Store. Community members, visitors, corporations and HiSAM Docents and Volunteers are welcomed to join as Friends of the Hawai’i State Art Museum.
