The Hawai`i State Art Museum (HiSAM) opened its galleries to the public on November 1, 2002. Since then thousands from our community and abroad have visited the HiSAM historic building, our exceptional galleries, acclaimed restaurant, gift shop and our beautiful grounds for concert performances, live dance, theater, movies on the lawn, educational lectures, make & take art, school tours and other cultural events.
